Lynn A. Lorenson

Attorney Lynn Lorenson brings over 35 years of legal experience with her to Town Counsel Law & Litigation specializing in municipal law and local government matters. Having served more than three decades in the City of Oshkosh legal Department, with 18 of those years as city attorney, Lynn provides communities with the seasoned guidance necessary to navigate their regulatory, developmental, and administrative challenges.

A native of Sturgeon Bay, Lynn’s dedication to local government was inspired early on by her mother, who served on the Sturgeon Bay City Council and instilled in her a lifelong commitment to public service.  Lynn attended Carroll College (now Carroll University), attending Nottingham University in Nottingham, England for one year; and the University of Wisconsin – Madison Law School where she was a member of the Law Review and graduated with honors.

Lynn enjoys working with local communities and is available to assist with a wide variety of municipal matters including land use and zoning, ordinance review and drafting, contract review and drafting, review of Tax Incremental District plans and drafting of development agreements, licensing reviews, employment issues, public records, and open meetings. 

When she is not advising communities, Lynn is an avid history researcher and reader. She stays active outdoors by hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
